About OPU Germany
In our resolve at self-determination, fostering inter-ethnic understanding within, and working towards a re-structured Nigerian Federation, we, the people of likeminds, within the Yoruba ethnic-nationality, believing in the unity, indivisibility and indissolubility of our sovereign nation, having firmly and solemnly resolved to provide for a constitution for the purpose of effective administration of our organization and for the advancement of the aims and objectives of the organization; do hereby make and give to ourselves this constitution.
Our Aims and Objectives
The aims and objectives of the organization is to promote and defend the political, cultural and socio-economic rights of our father’s land as enshrined in section 16, 17, 18, 21 and 23 chapter II of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria; international covenant on economic, social and cultural right (resolution 2200A) of December 16, 1969 part III, article 11, 15(a); African Charter on Human and people’s Rights (adopted in Nairobi Kenya on 26 June, 1981) article 2, 16, 22 and 24; universal declaration of human rights (Resolution 217A (III) of December 10, 1948 Article 1-3, 7, 15 and 21; United Nations Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights Article II.
